Serving with a strong burden for prayer, children's ministry, and the spiritual formation of young families in the church.
My name is Innocent Shilema, and I thank God for what He has done in my life. I am honored to serve as an associate pastor and to be part of Anavo Global Ministries.
Before I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I went through many difficult and painful experiences. I was involved in several accidents, and one of them was very serious. I broke both of my hands and was in a coma for one month. Looking back, I can clearly see that God preserved my life even when I did not fully know Him.
Before I knew Jesus, I lived for myself, believing I was in control of my own destiny. However, my life was filled with a deep emptiness. I tried to fill that void with achievements, relationships, and the approval of others, but nothing truly satisfied me. I often felt anxious, fearful, and alone.
Although I thought I was a good person, my heart was far from God. I was searching for purpose and meaning, but I could not find it on my own.
By the grace of God, my life changed. He saved me, gave me a new purpose, and showed me His love and mercy. Today, I stand as a testimony of His faithfulness. I am grateful that God spared my life through those accidents and brought me into a relationship with Him.
All glory be to God for saving me.
