Leading Gift of Charis coordination in India through prayer, discipleship program, students Bible transcription and compassionate ministry support.
My name is Issac Wilfred, and I come from Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, India. I was born into a Pastor's family.
Even before my birth, God's hand was upon my life. During my delivery, the doctors declared that I was no longer alive. But by God's grace and divine intervention, both my mother and I were restored to life. From that moment, my life has been a living testimony of God's power and mercy.
Though I grew up in a Christian home, I drifted away from God during my college years. While pursuing my BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications), I began living as if God did not exist. In my final year, I met with a serious accident that tore the ligament in my right leg. Over time, I struggled to walk and could not carry out normal daily activities. This physical pain led me into deep depression.
In that broken state, I lost hope in life and struggled with thoughts of ending my life. Though I went through very dark moments, God mercifully preserved me each time. Yet, I continued to resist Him and His calling.
After completing my degree, my parents encouraged me to join Bible college. I went reluctantly and studied for a year but later discontinued and returned home. During that period, I faced intense struggles, including financial challenges and serious health issues in my family, which pushed me even further away from God. I made a decision in my heart that I did not want to follow Christ or serve in ministry.
But God did not give up on me.
Once again, He began to speak to my heart, and I returned to Bible college. Even then, I continued to battle depression and inner struggles.
Then one day, everything changed.
On a day when I had planned to give up on life, I met Pastor Jedidiah in the morning. Normally, I do not speak with strangers, but something led me to talk with him. He introduced himself as a missionary from Zambia. Though our conversation was brief, it deeply impacted me.
That encounter made me reflect: if a servant of God could leave everything and serve in another nation, then the same God who sustained him could also help me. For the first time, I began to believe that God could truly transform my life.
From that moment onward, things began to change. I gradually developed a relationship with him, and he guided me in the ways of God. Through his encouragement and by God's grace, I found new hope, healing, and purpose.
Today, I stand with a renewed heart and a desire to serve the Lord. My life is a testimony that no matter how far we run, God's grace still reaches us. He saved me, restored me, and gave me a purpose to live for Him.
